AKWESASNE TO HOST NHL NATIVE ALUMNI GAME

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform the community that the Tehotiiennawakon Department will be hosting the 3rd Annual NHL Alumni game on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena on Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island) at 2:00 PM. Get your tickets and come on out as the Akwesasne Stars take on NHL Native Alumni Pro hockey team led by Reggie Leach from the Philadelphia Flyers. Also joining the NHL Native Pro team is Akwesasne’s own Keegan Thomas #21 and Oakley Thomas #84 as part of the “Thrill of a Lifetime” package. “Thrill of a Lifetime” referees include Sean David, Ty Terrance and Kolten Oakes. Akwesasronon Charlotte McDonald will also be returning as Trainer for the third year in a row.

If you haven’t already purchased your tickets, you can get them in advance for $20.00 at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena, Experience Akwesasne Welcome Center, 37 West, and Akwesasne Sports! You may also purchase tickets from any of the Akwesasne All Stars players. General Admission tickets will be available at the door on the day of the game for $25.00 per ticket. Also available is the VIP Pass that includes admission ticket and Meet and Greet pass for $50.00. If you aren’t able to attend the games but want to meet your favorite NHL Native Alumni players, you can also purchase a Meet and Greet pass for $25. The first 600 fans that arrive at the game will also receive an inflatable “Thunder Sticks” sponsored by Akwesasne Child & Family Services.

On Friday, March 4, 2016, at 7:00 PM the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino will be hosting a Reggie Leach book signing session in the Casino Lobby. The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino is also hosting the Alumni Banquet on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Winter ballroom; a traditional meal will be served. If you would like to attend, a table for six people can be purchased for $500 and includes meal, general admission tickets and Meet and Greet passes.
