A Voice from the Eastern Door
Thank you
A Nia:wen ko:wa to all the family, relatives and friends who participated in the wake and funeral of Antoine Delormier. For all who stood by our side during this very heartfelt time, giving us the strength to go forward each hour and day.
A big thank you goes out to the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Cornwall Community Hospital for caring for our loved one during his illnesses for the past several years. Dr. Westergard, Dr. Givari, and Dr. Hoang in the Intensive Care Unit. The Nurses in the emergency department for their kindness and support, you became family to us with our frequent visits. To the Akwesasne Mohawk Council Ambulance for the many times they came to Antoine’s assistance.
To all who helped with the cooking, cleaning, bringing food and supplies required during this difficult time. Especially to my friend Debbera Thompson for taking charge and making sure all was organized.
We the family appreciate the many cards, monetary donations, shoulders for our tears, and support that was and is given to us at this time of grief. To all who did not hesitate to participate in the church service and agreed to be Pallbearers, readers, pontoon driver, firemen escorts, Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service escort (Justin Delormier), James (Spooky) Burns (generous donation of Fuel), Harvey Boots (Tent), The Hart Family for the wonderful meal at The Brasshorse Banquet Hall, Margaret Thomas/Jock (church program), Loran Thompson. To all my cousins for their help.
To Leo, Amos, Frank, Donald and Charlie for continually taking care, everything was the best, and all the guys who prepared the garage which became a warm welcome place to sit. My apologies for leaving anyone’s name out, it certainly was not done intentionally, all the help/support we received was greatly appreciated.
Thank you to Lahaie and Sullivan for their professionalism, care, understanding and respect given of our wishes and requests during this time.
Most of all to Antoine’s children for the love/support they showed each other during the most difficult time of their life.
