The Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment held yet another smashing event for participants of all ages; the "Minute to Win It". It was an evening filled with fun and games. The Minute to Win It event was part of Akwesasne's Red Ribbon Week to bring awareness and celebrate being drug-free. Red Ribbon Week included: Wear Red on Monday, Superhero Day on Tuesday, Jersey Day on Wednesday, Rock Star Day on Thursday and Costume Day on Friday to celebrate Halloween at the Trunk or Treat held at the former IGA parking lot. Their motto, "Stay in the Game – Play Drug Free" was echoed throughout the night with a variety of activities that had children and their parents laughing and having fun in a family friendly environment.
