EXPERIENCE AKWESASNE WELCOME CENTRE TO HOST GRAND OPENING

Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Economic Development Program is inviting the community to attend the Grand Opening of the “Experience Akwesasne Welcome Centre.” The Grand Opening ceremony will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2PM at the Peace Tree Trade Centre on Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island). The “Experience Akwesasne Welcome Centre” will serve our community and visitors alike.

The Welcome Centre will promote Akwesasne’s artisans, local business, and local events. Both Akwesasronon and tourists can visit the Welcome Centre to obtain information on Akwesasne and the surrounding areas attractions and activities. Each month the Welcome Centre will showcase local artisans and local businesses with their “Artisan Spotlight” or “Business Spotlight.”

Our local artisans are welcome to display their art in the Welcome Centre free-of-charge as MCA Economic Development program continues to promote Akwesasne’s talented artisans.
