Thompson Brothers Lacrosse Camp Held in Onondaga

The Thompson Brother Lacrosse Camp was held on September 11 to September 13, 2015 in the Onondaga Nation Territory. The camp was well attended with over 150 children from across the Confederacy. The camp was geared toward the player's age and level of ability with an emphasis on how the game is played for the Creator, incorporating culture, traditions and lacrosse.

The Thompson Brothers held 14 lacrosse camps across the U. S. this past summer; Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Washington, New Jersey, Colorado as well as five in Maryland with sponsorship from Nike N7 sports. The lax camp held in Onondaga was the only "free for participants" camp.

"It has been our mission to grow this game because all it has taught our family. Lacrosse is the medicine game, this medicine can begin to heal all people who are exposed to it," he continued. It is truly our honor to teach the Native youth about Lacrosse, here on the Onondaga Nation, our home.", stated Lyle Thompson.
