Description of Position: Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Credentialed Prevention Specialist is responsible to promote an alcohol and drug free lifestyle in the community by doing lectures, distributing literature, getting businesses to promote sober living, etc. Provide community members and schools with information about addiction issues and about available services or programs, making appropriate referrals when necessary.
Qualifications: C.P.S. preferred or high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years experience in the field of alcoholism/chemical dependency prevention or an associates degree in a related field. Minimum of three years sobriety for a recovering person. Subject to Background and Fleet policies.

ELIGIBILITY LIST: A list of qualified candidates is created from interviews that may be used to appoint individuals to similar positions within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe for a period of six months.
