American Legion Post 1479/Hilltop Inflatables during last weekends championships in Bombay. Coach Jeff Johnson, Breanne Herne, Teres Seymour, Doreen Mitchell, Akat Thompson, Shelly White, Mikki Cook, Arisawe Lazore, Renee King, Pat Phillips, Leah Delormier, Krissy Thompson, Amanda Smith, Leigh Ann McDonald, April Seymour, Diane Lazore and Jerry Cook. Missing: Angie King.
Last weekend in soaring heat, the
local girls waited until extra innings
to get their bats heated up as well.
Legion/Hilltop Inflatables played in
their league playoffs and took Orlando/
Open Net to nine innings before
exploding with seven runs to win it
10-3.
The score was tied at three after
seven innings and in the Legion/
Hilltop's half of the ninth inning
Orlando/Open Net switched pitchers.
The local girls then scored those
seven runs off the Open Net reliever.
Because of the extra length the
Legion/Hilltop immediately went
to work and played another game
which they lost 4-3 to Dabiews.
