Salary Level: HS 12 - $33,076.24 -

$34,399.29

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Program

Supervisor, the incumbent is

responsible for the security and safety

of clients through the provision

of program services. Responsible to

provide supervision on shift and is responsible

to client monitoring within

the program plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) year Social Worker or

equivalent diploma; Three (3) years

experience working with women and

children in crisis; Education/experience

in mental health and addictions,

certification as Certified Alcohol and

Drug Counselor (ICADC) is an asset.

Must have experience in human interaction,

interpersonal skills and the

ability to work in crisis situations

with children and families. Must effectively

monitor, evaluate, plan and

implement services and procedures.

Incumbent must adhere to the strict

principles of confidentiality. Must

have a valid driver’s license and be

willing to use personal vehicle in

course of employment. Knowledge

and understanding of Akwesasne

community values and traditions is

desirable and the ability to speak and

understand the Mohawk language

considered an asset.
