This was Vicki Horne and Billie Jo Phillips's (ACFS) station where they talked about drugs. Their display showed the kids the danger of doing drugs and that if you do them, you don't know what you're going to get.
Megan Bushey, Olivia Cook and summer student Sunilaya Cole from ACDP had the kids play liver overload. The game showed the kids the effects of alcohol on the liver.
HAVFD's Cameron Mitchell talked to the kids about fire safety and drinking and driving.
Timekeeper Tracie Cook kept the kids moving smoothly from station to station.
Tanya Diabo, Community Health Nurse, focused on tobacco/smoking awareness. She had the kids play age appropriate games and they also got several goodies to take home.

On Thursday, July 16, kids in the Summer Program at the Snye Recreation took part in a series of safety presentations. There were five stations set up around the rec and each focused on a different subject to get the kids to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Participating in the event was Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department, Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police, Akwesasne Child and Family Services, Alcohol/Chemical Dependency Prevention Program and MCA Community Health Nurses. From 9am to about noon, the kids rotated from station to station to get an array of important information, and even took home some cool tokens.
