A Voice from the Eastern Door
On Sunday, July 19, 2015 Iakhihsohtha got a visit from Joe Cal & Friends, which was a mixture of the band Minimum Wage and guest players. They played some great tunes for the residents and eventually some got up to dance.
They played songs like "Heartache by the Numbers" and "Tear in my Beer," and no gig is complete without a few jigging numbers.
Kateri Herne also sang a couple of songs. Her mother Mary Herne had been requesting a Charlie Pride song for a while, but Kateri did not have the words. Her mother got the lyrics for Kateri and on Sunday the request was met. She sang, "That Was Before I Met You." Overall, it was the perfect day to stay in, as it was very humid outside, and enjoy some great music and dancing.
