MCHS and SRCS Athletes Honored

Massena and Salmon River Central athletes recently received honors for 2015 accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.

More than a dozen girls varsity lacrosse members were named to the Academic All-NAC team. They included Raechel Davis, Madalyn Dillabough, Ellen Greene, Mia Jermano, Devin Kelly, Abby LaClair, Felicity Love, Katherine MacCuaig, Courtney Manley, Nicole Morgan, Sophia Post, Alanna Pyke, Sophia Rusaw and Emily Wilmshurst.

Massena varsity boys on the Academic All-NAC squadron included Hunter Pyke, Kyran Sunday, Zach Ward and Robert Todd. Salmon River players Waylon Square and Tanner Tarbell also made the cut.

Massena boys varsity lacrosse Coach Kris Covell was lauded as Section 10 Coach of the Year, along with St. Lawrence Central Assistant Coach Jack Charlebois.

The All-NAC First Team included Massena’s Tyler Armstrong, Andrew Bender and Nick Henrie, along with Salmon River’s Chad George, Skyylar Thomas and Russ Oakes. Massena’s Kendrick Angus made the All-NAC Second Team.

Salmon River’s Skye Sunday and Massena’s Jeff Bain made the All-NAC Outstanding Sportsmanship Team.

Skyylar Thomas was named a Section 10 All-American.

Massena’s Brendan Broderick won the Bob Scott Award.

For baseball, Massena’s Isaiah Dillabough and Isaac Ward made the All-NAC First Team. Patrick Manning made the Second Team.

Josh LaShomb was named to the Outstanding Sportsmanship team.

McCartney Countryman, Logan Deshane, Isaiah Dillabough, Neil Farbotnik, Bailey LaBarge, Ethan Marcello, Nicholas McKeel, Evan Smith, Jacob Vierno and Isaac Ward made the Academic All-NAC team, along with Salmon River’s Avery Gardner, John Harvey and David Roundpoint.
