3rd Thursday of June is a national initiative titled “recess at work” day to promote team building

Staff members in all departments at Tsiionkwanonhso:te are invited to wear a T-shirt and play BINGO with residents. We are going to decorate with T-shirts, and will accept any donations. Recognition will be given to individuals for their contributions.

June 25th ‘LEON’ Day: it is only six months before Christmas. Is your Christmas list made?

Welcome Nichelle Loran to the Tsiionkwanonhso:te Team! She is part of MCA’s working in collaboration with the Akwesasne Area Management Board (AAMB) for the 2015 Summer Employment Experience Development (SEED). Nichelle is conducting research and will be asking community members for their ideas, suggestions and concerns about the long term care facility, Tsiionkwanonhso:te. You will find Nichelle at most community events looking for willing individuals to answer a few questions. If you have any questions, please call Teresa at 613.932.1409.

Do you have a family member living at Tsiionkwanonhso:te? Are you familiar with the Parent Councils organized at the secondary schools? The Ministry of Health and Long Term care invites all family members to organize a Family Council at Tsiionkwanonhso:te. The Family Council is an integral part of the organization and speaks for those Residents who may not have anyone to look out for them. For more information check the website online http://www.familycouncils.net . Or plan to attend the Family Councils ‘Changing Lives’ conference in Toronto on June 18th, 19th as part of Family Council Week.

The doors to Tsiionkwanonhso:te are always open and we would love to see you!
