A Voice from the Eastern Door

We Love Visitors!

Indian Time is lucky to receive many visitors every week. Whether it's a parent bringing in a new baby for a photograph or an elder who wants us to look at photos with him, our doors are always open and we love our visitors. We love them so much we want to share them with you. "We Love Visitors" series is simply a way to share members of the community with you. So, don't be scared to come and visit us (we'll only photograph those willing) but if you have something special you want to show us, tell us, or share with our readers, stop in anytime.

Our offices are located in the village of St. Regis, on Hilltop Drive, in the same building as CKON 97.3 studios.

We hope to see you soon!

Indian Time was busy this week with local visitors and visitors from afar. On June 3, 2015, a delegation from the Federation of International World Lacrosse Championships took a moment before heading to Cattaraugus on a whirlwind promotional tour of the FIL World Lacrosse Championship Games that will be held at the Onondaga Nation starting on Friday, September 18, 2015 and concludes with the championship games on Sunday, September 27, 2015. The FIL delegation had just finished an interview with Reen Cook on CKON.

"For the first time ever, the FIL (Federation of World Lacrosse) has awarded host privileges for the World Lacrosse Indoor Championships to the home of the games: The Onondaga National Capital of the Iroquois Confederacy.", FIL.

The best part of Indian Time for this group? The sports page, of course. Look for more information in future issues of Indian Time. Indian Time will send two reporters to cover the FILW games and festivities in Onondaga in September.

On a more local note, Cheyenne Jocko and her son, Tarehowane stopped in to enjoy luuch with the staff of Indian Time. Cheyenne's favorite section of the newspaper - the Mohawk Lesson that is included in every issue of Indian Time.
