DONALD JOSEPH "TEHORONIATHE" LEAF

LEAF, Donald Joseph "TEHORONIATHE"- passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Donald was born on Cornwall Island on March 11, 1940, into the Wolf Clan. Dear father of Myrna Leaf-Roy (Steve Roy) of Cornwall, and Don Jr., grandfather of several grandchildren. Donald is survived by his God Daughter Mary Hopkins of Saranac Lake NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald is predeceased by his parents the late Joseph Point and the late Mary Ann "Wariiahen" Leaf. Also his half brother Kenneth Zabizewski, his uncles Charlie Leaf (Louise) and Frank Leaf (Agnes), his aunts Mary Leaf-Sova Annie Thompson (Bernie), Charlotte Point, Rose Benedict and Elizabeth Point. Donald was a Class A mechanic and worked at Malone Ford for many years as well as Cornwall Motor Sales, G and L Bus Lines, and Skidders Construction. He was also a driver for Mitchell Construction. Donald loved listening to his favorite music, the music of Chet Atkins and playing his guitar. He liked to fiddle with electronics; there wasn't anything he didn't like to tinker with. He also loved to chat with friends and family on his CB radio for many years. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Lahaie and Sullivan, Cornwall Funeral Homes, 20 Seventh St. West (613-932-8482). A Memorial Meal will be held at the Cornwall Island Recreation Center, Cornwall Island, on Friday May 8, 2015 at 3 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
