A Voice from the Eastern Door

Moms of Fort Throw Easter Bash

You could not ask for a better day during the-winter-that-won't-let-go, to have an Easter Egg Hunt. On Sunday, March 29, the Fort Covington Fire Station was filled to the brim with families enjoying food, vendors, a raffle and Chinese auction and more. Kids could decorate a cupcake and get a picture with the Easter Bunny, and of course, the egg hunt. There were over 300 kids signed up, and up for grabs were 8,000 eggs.

The event was put on by the Moms of Fort and it is their second year throwing the Easter celebration. Nicole Stowell, Moms of Fort member, said, "Our main purpose is to bring events to the community, and not just for Fort but for surrounding communities too. It's just something for the kids to do, and we do a Fall Fest also." Anyone can join the Moms of Fort, you don't have to live in Fort, just find them on Facebook.

Moms of Fort thanks all the people that made this event possible. Twin Leaf took care of all the food, which included hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda.

The Brethour family and friends helped with the eggs and cupcakes, they filled over 4,000 of the eggs. Moms of Fort would also like to thank the community for participating, and for their continued support.
