Cornwall, ON – Nolan Thompson, 21 of Hogansburg NY was arrested on March 12th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on February 25th, 2015 for breach charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 12th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
Steven Johnson, 29 of Akwesasne was arrested on March17th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for having a cellular phone in his possession. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 17th, 2015 the man was found to be in possession of a cellular phone at the port of entry despite being on condition not to be in possession of any communication devices. Police attended, took the man into custody, charged him accordingly and held him for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON - A Cornwall police officer is being demoted for two years and will lose about $22,000 in salary after being convicted under the Ontario Police Services Act for “neglect of duty” and “deceit,” according to Seaway News. The officer is being demoted for issues related to “manipulating” the timekeeping system used by police to catalogue their hours of work. The officer’s name was not released, and the matter was handled internally and has been concluded, including restitution.
Cortland man charged with threats to kill St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police
Plattsburgh, NY – On March 11, 2015, a federal grand jury indicted Roy S. Redeye, age 38, with threatening to kill three Saint Regis Mohawk Police Officers, announced United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge James Spero, and Saint Regis Mohawk Police Chief Matthew Rourke. According to the two-count indictment, on February 6, 2015, Redeye threatened to kill the police officers in posts on his Facebook page.
Redeye was arrested in Cortland, New York, on February 10, 2015, where he was living at that time. On February 26, 2015, he had his initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Gary L. Favro; the defendant has been detained since then. The trial date will be set in the coming days.
If convicted of these charges, the maximum penalties the defendant faces include: a term of imprisonment of 5 years; a fine of $250,000; a term of three years of supervised release; and payment of restitution to the victims. The case is being investigated by agents of Homeland Security Investigations based in Massena, New York. Assistant United States Attorney Elizabeth Horsman is prosecuting the case. The charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aggravated unlicensed operation: On March 7, Tribal Police charged Peter A. Back, 50, of Hogansburg, also citing him with unlicensed driver, unregistered motor vehicle, inadequate lights and improper plates. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on March 31.
Passing in a no passing zone: On March 8, Tribal Police ticketed James R. Meyers, 67, of Burlington, Vt. Ticket is returnable Tribal Court on April 6.
Aggravated unlicensed operation: On March 8, Tribal Police ticketed Priscilla K. Thompson, 46, of Akwesasne, Ontario, also citing her with speeding and unlicensed driver. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 7.
Inadequate stop lamps: On March 8, Tribal Police ticketed Adelaida Baylosis, 65, of Ottawa, Ontario. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on March 30.
Inadequate headlights: On March 9, Tribal Police ticketed Katelynn K. Delormier, 20, of Snye, Quebec. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on March 30.
Warrant of arrest: On March 9, Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Cheyenne A. Thompson, 20, of Hogansburg for an active warrant from Malone Village Police Department. She was turned over to Malone PD.
Speeding: On March 9, Tribal Police ticketed Trenton E. Tarbell, 18, of Hogansburg. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on March 30.
Bench warrant: On March 9, Tribal Police arrested Elisha E. Lazore-King, 25, of Hogansburg. She was arraigned at the Bombay Town Court and was given a return date of March 31.
Fail to dim lights: On March 9, Tribal Police ticketed Bruce W. Jock, 34, of Ft. Covington. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 6.
Felony DWI, AUO: On March 12, Tribal Police charged Shannon P.R. Oakes-King, age and address unavailable with felony counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, also citing inadequate lights and unlicensed driver. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 7.
Drivers view obstructed: On March 12, Tribal Police ticketed Valerie A. Jackson, 54, of Hogansburg, also citing her for unlicensed operator. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on March 16.
