February 18, 2015 - The Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department, with assistance from Franklin County Office of Emergency Services, Fort Covington EMS and members of the St. Lawrence County Underwater Recovery Team are resuming a search for a missing snowmobiler on the St. Lawrence River East of Hopkins Point. One victim has been recovered on Sunday and divers from Surte Du Quebec located the snowmobiles Monday afternoon. With respect to the family, the victims’ names will not be released at this time.

Burglary: On 02/07/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Cortlon J. Skidders, 16, of Akwesasne, Ontario for burglary class-c felony 2nd degree, menacing class-a misdemeanor 2nd degree and act in a manor injure child less than 17 class- a misdemeanor. Mr. Skidders was arraigned at the Bombay Town Court and released to probation with a return date of 03/10/2015.

Speed in Zone: On 02/07/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Nevada Sharrow, 23, of Ft. Covington, NY for speed in zone 52-35 mph zone. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on 02/09/2015.

Speed in Zone: On 02/08/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Corina M. Oakes, 34, of Akwesasne, Ontario for speed in zone 50-35 mph zone. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on 03/02/2015.

Suspended Registration: 0n 02/08/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Bryce L. Thompson, 25, of Cornwall Island, Ontario for suspended registration - misdemeanor and fail to use designated lane. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on 03/03/2015.

Aggravated Unlicensed Operation: On 02/08/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Thunder C.J. Anderson, 37, of Akwesasne, Quebec for aggravated unlicensed operation- misdemeanor and speed not reasonable and prudent. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on 03/03/2015.

Aggravated Unlicensed Operation: On 02/08/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Ariwiio L. Swamp, 23, of Hogansburg, NY for aggravated unlicensed operation-misdemeanor, speed in zone 51-35 mph zone and unregistered motor vehicle on the highway. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on 03/10/2015.

Fail to Yield Right of Way: On 02/09/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Vanessa Smoke, 59, of Hogansburg, NY for fail to yield right of way. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on 02/23/2015.

Unlawful Possession of Marihuana: On 02/10/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Dorothy E. Wilcox, 38, of Syracuse, NY for unlawful possession of marihuana and inadequate headlights. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on 03/03/2015.

Suspended Registration: On 02/11/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Marissa P. Vickers, 25, of Massena, NY for suspended registration and move from lane unsafely. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on 03/17/2015.

Inadequate Headlights: On 02/11/2015 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Lana M. Jacobs, 20, of Hogansburg, NY for inadequate headlights and no plate light. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on 03/16/2015.
