Please NO Garbage on the Ice

To anyone who uses the frozen river for recreation or for crossing, please do not throw garbage onto the ice. It is everyone’s responsibility to discard waste back at your homes. This litters the shorelines and will also fall into the river after the spring melt, causing pollution that harms fish and birds, not to mention swimmers in the summer. Please help keep the waterways clean for the continued use now and in the future.
