The first grade at the St. Regis Mohawk School has been doing a Listening and Learning Astronomy Unit and the students were so interested, teachers decided to add a family project to the unit.
Mrs. Yando, Ms. Lauzon, Ms. Ellsworth and Mrs. Thompson gave the students full creative freedom, allowing them to pick any subject and use any type of material for their project.
Mrs. Thompson said, "This is the second year we have done a family project, and parents really out-do themselves. It's great to see the variety."
Projects have been displayed in the first grade hall and other classes have come to get a peak at them. On Friday, parents were invited to come in and look at the display as well.
