Kelly Katsi'tsaronkwas Gabriel, Residential Counsellor and Robin Teiohserathe Sky, Outreach/Intake Worker from the Onen'to:kon Healing Lodge and Treatment Services in Kanehsatake Mohawk Territory. They said they receive a lot of clients from Akwesasne. The have a six week treatment program that uses Mohawk teachings and they work in a holistic way. Their website is www.onentokon.com.

Kiakowisonkies Phillips has gone through a Grief Recovery Group Session with Grief Recovery Specialist Kanera Phillips who had a booth at the expo. When ten people sign up, an eight-week session starts, and Kiakowisonkies highly recommends it. Kanera Phillips can be contacted at 315-705-5537.

Courtney Carista is a Chemical Dependency Counselor in the Detoxification Unit at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Canton-Potsdam has detoxification, rehabilitation and outpatient services. The detox unit has 7 beds and the waiting list, on average, is a couple of weeks, and they do refer to the Partridge House. Carista said an important tip is to call before you go. Serge Perreault Mental Health and Addictions Counselor, had information on the Withdrawal Management Services at Cornwall Community Hospital. Perreault may look familiar as he used to teach at Iohahiio. The Withdrawal Management Services has a host of services for clients and their objectives include to offer an alternative to residential withdrawal management for individuals who can safely withdraw from substances and develop an individualized plan of care for withdrawal.
