Community Support Needed at CBSA Trial

Community members are encouraged to attend the trial in support of Akwesasne’s aboriginal and mobility rights, and to provide moral support to Alicia Shenandoah and April Elaine Thompson, the two women who the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is defending in court.  The results of this case will impact the Akwesasne community in what we hope will be a positive manner.

Due to Cornwall’s limited number of courtrooms, the trial is scheduled to take place in alternating courtrooms in Cornwall, Morrisburg, and Alexandria.   Please see the revised schedule below, which may change daily.  The trial will begin at 10 a.m. each day.
