The Christmas season began early at the Iakhihsohtha home for the Elderly, as residents got into the Christmas spirit.
The Akwesasne Mohawk Singers Bernice Lazore, Sally Ann Adams and Minerva White performed at the Home last Friday for the residents, but soon our Totas joined in the caroling.
They performed Traditional Christmas songs translated into Mohawk and soon residents were handed songbooks and jingle bells and joined in.
Others just listened to the beautiful music or followed along tapping toes.
The Snye facility and the Chronic Care facility on Kawehnoke will be announcing their Christmas activities soon.
