A Voice from the Eastern Door
In Bantam division action last week, Louisville came to the Shamrocks barn, but were edged out 4-2.
North Franklin had a chance early to put some big numbers up as they hit the Louisville net early. Their shots got by their goalie but went wide or hit the post.
Garett Engstrom scored first for Louisville as he did some good stickhandling around the crease. Tim Cook replied for the Shamrocks as he did some equally impressive stick-work in the crease. He faked the goalie and went up top to tie.
In the middle period, Carli Cartier went in net for the Shamrocks replacing Brennan Steeprock and he faced his first shot :31 in and responded with a nice glove save.
Jarrod Showen made it 2-1 four minutes in as he played a few rebounds and finally tucked it in for North Franklin.
Preston O'Neil scored on the wraparound for the visitors and that was their final goal.
Matt Harvey made it 3-1 with seven minutes left and in the third Showen scored his second of the game for the final 4-2.
