A Voice from the Eastern Door
April 23, 1956-October 23, 2014
Washington (Wash) today is now one year since your passing. Honestly, it seems like you have been gone for many years, yet it is only one. You have left us with a huge gap to fill, and you are a tough act to follow. I miss your company, your stories, your calm welcoming nature and your friendship. I also miss your hard work ethics that we all envied. You always had a vision towards a project of yours and sometimes many projects at a time. Only you knew what that vision was and how all that stuff you collected played into that vision. I most miss when you would go into auction mode when your friends and family were around. If we didn't buy it you would send it home with us anyway.
Wash, I have looked up to you since I first knew you when I was five years old at the Cornwall Island Indian Day School. You were the older popular guy. You left us too soon but I know you are caring for us from a good place, so that helps. I hope that also helps your wife Darlene, as well as your children, Gerald, Rockie, Matt and Travis, your sisters, the rest of your family and of course all your many friends who miss you.
Until we meet again, your buddy and bff, Jay B.
