St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police blotter through Oct. 17:

Using an electronic device while driving: Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Amylou Jandrew, 39, of Winthrop. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on Oct. 20.

AUO: Tribal Police ticketed Cheyenne S. Cole, 22, of Spring Hill, Fla. for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor, and fail to use headlights. Ticket is returnable to Bombay Town Court on Oct. 28.

Unlicensed operation: Tribal Police ticketed Tina M. Worster, 36, of Connecticut for unlicensed operation and fail to use designated lane. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on Oct. 20.

Child under 16 with no seatbelt: Tribal Police ticketed Valen K. Timmons, 27, of Fort Covington. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on Oct. 20.

DWAI - drugs: Tribal Police ticketed Rayna E. Roundpoint, 25, of Hogansburg and also charged her with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Oct. 21.

AUO: Tribal Police ticketed Wesley A. Gordon, 35, of Hogansburg for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor, and unsafe backing. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Oct. 28.

Arrest warrant: Tribal Police arrested Charmaine L. Martin, 28, of Hogansburg for a Franklin County Court warrant. She was arraigned in court sent to Franklin County Jail, Malone to await further court action.

Aggravated DWI, resisting arrest: On Oct. 9, Tribal Police say they charged Cody J. Back, 32, of Hogansburg with misdemeanors including driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was ticketed for fail to keep right and speeding, 67 mph in a 35 mph zone. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Nov. 18.

AUO: Tribal Police ticketed Rikki M. Square, 22, of Akwesasne, Ont. for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed driver and following too close. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Oct. 28.

Following too close: Tribal Police ticketed Cameron L. Tarbell, 18, of Hogansburg for following to close and operating vehicle out of class. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on Oct. 27.

Possession of a hypodermic instrument: On Oct. 9, Tribal Police arrested Alyssa L. Printup, 25, of Hogansburg for possession of a hypodermic instrument. She was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail, Malone with orders to return on Oct. 21.

Inadequate stop lamps: Tribal Police ticketed Jamie F. Ross, 50, of Akwesasne, N.Y. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on Nov. 4.

AUO: Tribal Police ticketed Bradley J. Rickerl, 27, of Akwesasne, N.Y. for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding, 53 mph in a 35 mph zone. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Nov. 4.

Fail to stop at stop sign: Tribal Police ticketed Jordan D. Francis, 30, of Hogansburg. Ticket is returnable to Bombay Town Court on Nov. 4.

Speeding: Tribal Police say they recently ticketed four motorists, including David G. Bara, 52, of Laval, Que. (50 mph 35 mph zone); Jerry C. Jock, 36, of Hogansburg (70 mph in a 35 mph zone); Patricia C. Stoddard, 61, of Malone (50 mph in a 35 mph zone); Stacey E. Gollinger, 33, of Massena (50 in a 35 mph zone).

New York State Police:

Petit larceny: Mindy J. Gray, 25, of Hogansburg was charged at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 14 at 556 River Road in Bombay. She was arraigned in court and released on her own recognizance.

DWAI drugs: Tristen A. Thompson, 17, of Akwesasne, N.Y. was charged with first-offense driving while ability impaired by drugs, inadequate stop lights and no inspection at noon on Oct. 18 on state Route 37. He was released to a sober third party with orders to appear in court.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Tate Jocko, 24, of Akwesasne was arrested on October 16th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on October 16th, 2014 Jocko attended a Brookdale Avenue Department store and selected clothing items making no attempt to pay for them as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were called. Jocko was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS MAN SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON FOR DISTRIBUTING HEROIN IN NORTH COUNTRY

PLATTSBURGH, NEW YORK – On October 14, 2014, ERNESTO MATOS, 33, of Belchertown, Massachusetts, was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison by Senior United States District Court Judge Thomas J. McAvoy in United States District Court in Albany, New York announced United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Drug Enforcement Administration Acting Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt.

Matos pled guilty in May 2014 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute heroin. As part of that plea agreement, Matos admitted to distributing at least 100 grams of heroin. The charges stemmed from Matos’ role as a supplier of heroin to local dealers in the Malone area. The sentence also includes a three-year term of supervised release following Matos’ incarceration and a $100 special assessment.

IDENTIFICATION MADE ON BODY FOUND IN MASSENA

State Police have determined the identity of the body which was recovered on August 29, 2014, off State Route 420 in the town of Massena. Dr. Michael Sikirica, Forensic Pathologist, identified the body as that of Lacey L. Yekel, age 25, who resided in the Massena, New York area. Yekel had not been reported as missing prior to the discovery of her body.

Responding State Police personnel secured the scene, which was processed by the Troop B Forensic Identification Unit. St. Lawrence County Coroner Jamie Sienkiewycz authorized removal of the body to the Albany Medical Center where Dr. Sikirica conducted an autopsy. The cause and manner of death are still pending further forensic examination and investigation.
