Mother Nature took a break from the rainy weekends and cold fall weather to help along the last softball tournament of the year.
Friends and family of Timmy and Becca Thompson organized a tournament for them last weekend to help raise money after the couple lost everything in a house fire last month.
The two-day tournament was played at the American Legion Post #1479 and Frogtown Fields. The run of two tournament wins by the Saints/Butters Quick Stop was stopped, and the squad led by Gage Bigtree won first place. That Butters team won second.
