A Voice from the Eastern Door
Indian Time is lucky to receive many visitors every week. Whether it's a parent bringing in a new baby for a photograph or an elder who wants us to look at photos with him, our doors are always open and we love our visitors. We love them so much we want to share them with you. "We Love Visitors" series is simply a way to share members of the community with you. So, don't be scared to come and visit us (we'll only photograph those willing) but if you have something special you want to show us, tell us, or share with our readers, stop in anytime.
Our offices are located in the village of St. Regis, on Hilltop Drive, in the same building as CKON 97.3 studios.
We hope to see you soon!
On Monday, the Tarbells came to visit Indian Time. From left to right are Norman Tarbell, Eva Tarbell, Debbie Chapman, Evelyn Tarbell Hudson and Elizabeth Tarbell. Eva and Evelyn are from Portland, Oregon and Debbie is from Buffalo, NY. They are travelling the Northeast visiting relatives from all over, and Norman and Elizabeth have been bringing them around Akwesasne.
Eva and Evelyn have traced their ancestors back to the year 1560 and around the mid 1600's they connect with Tarbells of Akwesasne. The visiting Tarbells said, "We thank them for their hospitality and kindness. They've showed us around and it's been great." In their travels around the country they have met 57 relatives, and 13 relatives here, with many more to meet the next time they visit. Norman and Elizabeth's favorite part of Indian Time is the Blast from the Past and Visitors.
