Mother and Daughter are Highland Greens Club Champions

The Highland Greens Golf Course Club Championship tournament was held on August 23, 2014. It is an annual tournament between all club members and this year Diane Boots and Leona Cook took the Championship title in their respective categories. Diane Boots won the Women's Club Championship, and her mother Leona Cook was the Women's Super Senior Club Champion.

It's not only amazing that a mother-daughter team won this year, but they are three time champions! They won in 2011, 2012, took a break from the tournament in 2013, and came back this year to win again. "They are both good golfers," said John Paul Helmer, Pro-shop staff at Highland Greens.

They are both avid golfers and spend most of their summers on the course.

Diane said, "I'm very fortunate to share this incredible sport with my mother. We enjoy each other's company and it's great for mother-daughter relationships. It gives us time to connect and have fun, and it's "me" time for both of us. Golfing has really enriched our relationship."

Congratulations Diane and Leona!
