CONGREGATE DINING ATTENDANT

Salary Level: GST 13 $32,964.28 – $34,282.85

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and the day-to-day supervision of the Cook, the incumbent is responsible to serve meals to residents, visitors and families attending congregate dining events. The incumbent maintains a high standard of quality in the preparation and delivery of meal services while maintaining attention to sanitation protocols. The Congregate Dining Attendant is a team player and promotes the services of the Dietary Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in the healthcare industry preferably in an institutional setting.

Incumbent must possess a current Standard First Aid with CPR, Level C certificate. Incumbent must have and maintain certification for WHMIS, HACCP, and Food Safety/Food Handling. Incumbent must have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling.
