Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service Media Release

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service report arresting Marie Shantel Lazore on July 16, 2014 for an outstanding warrant issued from Valleyfield Courts. The warrant was issued for her alleged role in an incident that occurred in October 2009 involving firearms.

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service responded on July 16, 2014 to a report of a house fire on the West end of Kawehnoke. The Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief examined the structure and believed the origin of the fire was caused by an electrical source and ruled out arson.

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service executed a Warrant on July 21, 2014 on a 37 year old male, Jacob Angus Cook, for an incident that occurred in June 2013. Cook was arrested and released on $500.00 cash bail and rescheduled to appear in court at a later date.
