NATIVE INMATE LIAISON OFFICER

Pay Level : $25.00 Per Hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Manager, Akwesasne Community Justice Program, the incumbent provides Native Offenders Programming Services at the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre, 2244 Innes Road, Ottawa, ON, K1B 4C4

QUALIFICATIONS:

College Diploma in the field of Social Work. Must have three (3) years experience in Counseling. Must have previous experience working with Aboriginal people. Incumbent should have knowledge of Programs and Services for First Nations. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during course of employment. Ability to speak the Mohawk language and knowledge of the Mohawk culture is considered an asset.
