Last Sunday was a perfect start to the summer and the perfect ending to the Akwesasne Attack lacrosse season. The lacrosse program wrapped up its 2014 season with a picnic at Barnhart Beach in Massena and on the menu was pizza, pizza, and more pizza.
As with the theme of the occasion, most kids brought along their sticks and fooled around while others hit the sand and water.
The league just finished its second season and is always growing. Future plans include a National qualifier held right here in Akwesasne. Usually teams have to go out of state to qualify for the National tournament held in Florida. But if the league has their way these teams will have to go no further than Generations Park in Hogansburg.
