Photo courtesy of NCCC COREY BUCKSHOT AND LORI TARBELL RECEIVE NORTH COUNTRY COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE Saranac Lake, NY (June 16, 2014)-Corey Buckshot and Lori Tarbell, both of Hogansburg, were honored at North Country Community College's 32nd annual awards ceremony celebrating student excellence held on May 16 in Saranac Lake, NY. Buckshot was the recipient of a Massage Therapy Achievement Award, which is given to students who are continuing their education at NCCC as full-time students and have demonstrated an academic and personal commitment to their Massage Therapy education. Tarbell received the St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center Outstanding Chemical Dependency Award. Through this award, St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center honors the outstanding Chemical Dependency Counseling student. This award recognizes academic and personal commitment to become a Chemical Dependency Counselor and acknowledges achievement in developing the knowledge and understanding of the science and art of counseling. North Country Community College students are honored every year by the faculty, administration, staff, and community-at-large for their dedication, civic engagement, leadership, academic achievement, athletic accomplishments, and collegiate spirit.
