Description of Position: Responsible for the overall operation and leadership of, and the efficient and effective operations of the Human Resources Department of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. The Director of Human Resources assumes responsibility for developing, monitoring and ensuring that the department is operating within the guidelines of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe policies and procedures, internal control standards and objectives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Public Administration, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Employment Law or closely related field with an emphasis in Human Resource Management in the Public Sector and five years supervisory experience. Consideration will be given to an equivalent, relevant combination of education/experience in the Human Resource field that is equal to ten years and demonstrates management experience in the areas of personnel, compensation and employee benefit plans and administration. ELIGIBILTY LIST: A list of qualified candidates is created from interviews that may be used to appoint individuals to similar positions within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe for a period of six months.
