The Cadet and Junior Wrestling Nationals held every year, or "Fargo", is widely considered the toughest, most prestigious tournament for high school wrestlers. Every summer, wrestlers from every state travel to this tournament, which will be held at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota from July 18-26th. There they test their skills against 3,000 of the best wrestlers in the country competing on 26 mats in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. This will be Nolan Terrance's second trip.
Fargo Nationals is NOT an open tournament; each participant must qualify at a state or regional event. Nolan traveled to his regional states event in May and took 2nd in freestyle, 3rd in Greco Roman qualifying him for both events in Fargo.
Any wrestler who has ever competed in Fargo can attest that there is no other youth tournament like it. Fargo is the largest and most competitive tournament for cadets and juniors within the borders of the United States. Many of these wrestlers will become or are already All-Americans and national champions and will go on to greatness at the NCAA level and into the senior level World and Olympic Games.
Nolan has had a successful off-season becoming the Canadian Juvenile National Champion in Greco Roman and placed 2nd in Freestyle during the 2014 Cadet/Juvenile National Championships that took place in Guelph, April 4-6.
Our family would like to thank those who have supported our son Nolan and his wrestling. It's always a surprise to us when organizations or individuals find his opportunities as exciting and worthwhile as we do.
