Steven Segal made a surprise visit to Kids for Fishing and was gracious enough to pose with the kids.
Norman King and PJ Burns, with the help of many hard working volunteers, put on another great event this year.

On Saturday, the fourth annual Kids for Fishing event was held at the St. Regis Recreation. It was a gorgeous day and the fish were biting! Fifty kids set out in about 20 boats and 5 pontoons with world class fishermen and volunteers.
In the morning several presentations were done for the kids. Border Patrol did a presentation on boat safety, A/CDP talked about drug prevention, SRMT Environment discussed environmental issues such as invasive species and Renegade Bass taught the kids about rods, reels, lures and fishing techniques. Big E put on a big lunch for everyone to enjoy. After lunch each kid was given a fishing rod, life vest, tackle box full of bait and a t-shirt. Then the moment all were waiting for; the kids lined up to get on the water.
PJ Burns said, "These kids will never forget today. They'll never forget catching these fish. They'll be hooked for life!"
