Akwesasne Representing at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships

The National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) will take place on April 28 and run through May 3, 2014 and will be held in Kahnawake. The Eastern Door and the North (EDN) team in the female division has seven girls from Akwesasne. The girls are Maya Swamp, KC Herne, Bailey Thomas, Victoria Thompson, Shaylee Thompson, Destiny Skidders (alternate defense), and Jenna Thompson (alternate forward).

The coaching staff has Alley Bero of Akwesasne helping out. Also, the EDN team male division has Jarrad Jackson at goalie. Rosters and schedules for the 2014 NAHC are available online at leaguelineup.com

According to the online schedule, the EDN male team will play Alberta on April 29 at 1:30pm, and the EDN female team will play Alberta on April 29 at 11am and Ontario at 8:30pm.
