PERMANENT FULL - TIME POSITION AKWESASNE CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES
Salary: MG – 04 $66,022.50 - $68,663.40
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing, directing and evaluating the agency’s service delivery in a way that promotes full compliance with Ontario Child and Family Services Act / Quebec Youth Protection Act, regulations, standards and guidelines, as well as meeting MCA and ACFS standards, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Social Work or equivalent (related to the Human Services field); or in the process of obtaining and commitment to complete as a condition of continued employment; A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Human Services field including a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a management / supervisory role; Demonstrated management capabilities in the areas of clinical practice, client outcomes, personnel and program development, community service collaboration, public speaking and change management;
Incumbent must have strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent leadership skills;
Incumbent should have good networking, research, planning and analytical skills, must have a clear understand of budgetary planning and financial management.
The incumbent must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to meet the program requirements. Knowledge and understanding of the Mohawk culture, and the ability to speak the Mohawk language considered an asset. Must have a valid drivers’ license and willing to use personal vehicle during the course of employment;
