HOME INSPECTOR

Annual Salary: Pay Band SP 03 $54,554.46 to $56,736.64

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Housing Inspector is responsible for

providing home inspection services on behalf of the Department. The Home Inspector

inspects structures using skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with

specifications, National Building Code, National Fire Code and other regulations.

Inspections may be general in nature or may be limited to a specific area, such as

electrical systems or plumbing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two year college degree in related field with a minimum five (5) years experience in

carpentry OR High school diploma with a minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in

specific related field.
