A Voice from the Eastern Door
Shows this weekend at SRC auditorium
Good Grief! The Salmon River auditorium will open its doors this Friday and Saturday to all Blockheads, Yellow Dancing Birds, Precocious Dogs, Bossy Older Sisters, Beethoven-obsessed Toy Pianists, Lil' Red Headed Girls, and all those who grew up reading about them in the papers. Written in 1967 and revived on Broadway in 1999, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" will connect you with your favorites from the Peanuts gang. Perfect for all ages, this production will feature songs like "The Kite", "Suppertime", "Happiness" and "The Red Baron", and promises not to yank the football away at the last second!
The characters in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" are based on the classic cartoons by Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip, Peanuts. Salmon River sixth grade teacher, Mr. David Bish, is once again at the director's helm for this year's play along with musical director, Mrs. Emily Robideau. The student cast consists of Shawn Brown, Brianna Griffin, Chelsie Chamberlain, Jeremy Hebert, Chandler Shatraw, Jenna Clute, Sara Francis, Adriana Reardon, Tatyanna Figueroa, Karlee Square, Tobias Jacobs and Thomas Rourke.
Performances are on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a matinee performance on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. General admission tickets can be purchased at the door for $6.00 a person or $20.00 for a family of four.
Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and laughs as you watch the Peanuts gang battle with kites, school, baseball and misunderstandings before finally coming to realize what makes them truly happy.
