Early Years includes Akwesasne Head Start, K4 and K5 and is offered at each school.
Kanien’kéha is offered in all classes with full day immersion in the Skahwatsí:ra Program offered at Kana:takon School.
Kanien’kéha Core is offered at all schools. Students at Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School receive 40 minutes of Kanien’kéha daily.
At Tsi Shne School, students in Grade 1-5 receive 40 minutes daily, K5 students receive 40 minutes three times per week and Head Start and K4 students will receive 20 minutes three times per week.
Free breakfast is served to all students. Hot lunch is also available.
To register, bring your child’s valid health card, updated immunization record and birth certificate.
•Head Start students must be 3 years of age by Tsiothóhrha/December 1, 2014.
•K4 students must be 4 years of age by Tsiothóhrha/December 1, 2014.
•K5 students must be 5 years of age Tsiothóhrha/December 1, 2014.
*All new students from Head Start to Grade 7 need to be registered.
