A Voice from the Eastern Door

Blooming Beauty Floral and Gift Shop

Grand opening on March 22nd

Danielle and Jonathan Lazore opened Blooming Beauty about a month ago, and if you need a gift for someone, for any occasion, just stop in, you are sure to find something there. They sell native made baskets, paintings and jewelry, most locally made. Jonathan said, "We try to keep as local as possible." Blooming Beauty also carries smudging supplies, incense, Stonewall sauces, box signs, greeting cards, coffee mugs and much more. And of course there are the beautiful floral arrangements, flowers for every occasion and every budget, from birthdays to anniversaries and more.

Danielle has an extensive background in art and has done silk flower arrangements for years. She hired her mentor Barbara Germano, who brings to the shop an impressive 30 years of experience arranging flowers. Danielle explained, "It's a big process, when the shop gets the flowers, they are not just ready to go, and you have to know how to care for them so they will last." Danielle and Jonathan also hired Amanda Jacobs part time, who has taken a course at St. Lawrence College in the field.

Danielle takes pride in their floral arrangements. They use different greens and stay with the trends, creating modern arrangements. They do many custom arrangements. Danielle said, "They are tailored to the individual and event." She said she loves to see her customers' reactions when they see what we created for them.

Blooming Beauty's grand opening will be on March 22nd and they will have many specials and giveaways. They have a 10% discount for veterans, first responders and seniors. "This is not a special, it's an ongoing discount for everything they do and have done for us," said Jonathan.

Danielle and Jonathan said this is just the beginning of Blooming Beauty, and they have plans to expand. They now have dish gardens in with a variety of plants and they plan on getting more gardening items for spring. They have future plans both big and small including a greenhouse, locally made receiving blankets and helium balloons. Jonathan said, "We try to cater to everyone, we want people to be able to fly in and grab a gift for anyone." And of course they do deliver the floral arrangements as well.

Danielle and Jonathan said "A big thank you to our family, especially our kids, that helped get the business up and running. And thank you to the community for your support."
