On Behalf of the 2014 Akwesasne Winter Carnival Committee we would like to thank the community for coming out this past weekend and participating in the Carnival which was a huge success, seeing the events well attended makes all the hard work worth it. The committee did a great job planning activities and events for the entire family throughout the weekend. We had so many events planned we had to utilize all facilities in the district. Thanks to the Akwesasne Homemakers, Iohahiio, Snye School, and Iakhihsohtha for hosting some of our events, to the firemen of station #3 who work on the ice rink every winter, even the ice rink was busy throughout the weekend. Finally to the Snye Recreation Committee who are the greatest hosts and hostesses in the community. Your hard work and dedication to the community is greatly appreciated, even the mini snow storm didn’t delay any of the events!

See you all back at the Snye Recreation in 2017!
