On Tuesday, the Baby Bookworms held their second session at the Akwesasne Library. The little ones were making valentines after hearing a story, and then enjoyed a snack. The Baby Bookworm program is collaborating with the St. Regis Mohawk School program Beginning with Books, and gets extra hands in Ellen Cook and Stephanie Griffin. Ellen mentioned, "All the kids who come get to take home a free book for their own at home library."
There are still lots of sessions left of Baby Bookworms, which takes place every Tuesday at the library at 10am, and will go until the end of April. There is no preregistration and children from birth to age 4 are invited. Gilbert Jacobs said, "The more the merrier!" Next week they will be reading the book "Move."
