Justin D. Mitchell, 24, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 1:33 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. He is to appear in Tribal Court on February 10.

Wayne P. Johnson, 29, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 9:44 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. He is to appear in Tribal Court on February 10.

John W. Herne, 71, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Devan M. Cooke, 19, of Fort Covington was arrested by Tribal Police and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, false impersonation, following too closely and driving while ability impaired by alcohol at 3:16 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond. Cooke is to re-appear in Bombay Town Court on January 21.

Leanne P. Armstrong, 35, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for speeding at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. Police said she was going 50 M.P.H. in a 35 M.P.H. zone on St. Regis Road. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Todd M. Robinson, 26, of Nicholville was ticketed by Tribal Police for speeding at 7:42 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. Police said he was going 50 M.P.H. in a 35 M.P.H. zone on state Route 37. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Kristian A. Smoke, 21, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. He is to appear in Tribal Court.

Cynthia L. Benedict, 53, of Bombay was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 3:48 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.   

Ryan L. Oakes, 32, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Della M. Adams, 46, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Alfred B. Laffin, 47, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Mark L. Gibson Jr., 33, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Scott E. Duciaume, 46, of Massena was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 4:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Emily A. Bezner, 18, of Syracuse was cited by Tribal with unlawful possession of marijuana at 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7. She is to appear in Bombay Town Court on February 11.

Joshua D. Dow, 26, of Syracuse was arrested by Tribal Police and charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument at 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7. He was released with an appearance ticket for Bombay Town Court on February 4.

Faith L. Thomas, 43, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for passing in a no pass zone at 8:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Vanna A. White, 28, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 8:43 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7. She is to appear in Tribal Court on February 3.

Danielle A. Oakes, 44, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for disobeying a traffic sign at 11:50 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6 on Cook Road. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27. 

Dyan J. Swamp, 56, of Akwesasne, N.Y. was ticketed by Tribal Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 1:16 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27. 

Terry F. Johnson, 48, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for unlicensed driver, no rear mirror, operating in violation of restrictions, inadequate headlight and inadequate tail lights at 10:33 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 4. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.    

Dylan Y. Moses, 30, of Syracuse was arrested by Tribal Police and charged with first-degree criminal possession of marihuana at 3:22 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $20,000 bail and $40,000 bond. Moses is to re-appear in Bombay Town Court on January 21. 

Tiara M. Oakes, 29, of Akwesasne, Que. was ticketed by Tribal Police for unregistered vehicle at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Ryan J. Labaff, 17, of Massena was ticketed by Tribal Police for stop sign violation, driver’s view obstructed and failure to yield at 4:17 a.m. on Friday, January 3 on state Route 37. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 27.

Kristian A. Smoke, 21, of Akwesasne, N.Y. was cited by New York State Police for unlawful possession of marijuana at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 on state Route 37 in Bombay. He was released with an appearance ticket.

Louise Cree, 84, of Rooseveltown was ticketed by Massena Village Police for uninspected motor vehicle at 3:36 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12 on East Hatfield Street.

Abraham J. Thomas, 23, of St. Regis, Que. was cited by Massena Village Police for disorderly conduct at 2:26 a.m. on Sunday, Jan 12 on Andrews Street.

Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service

On January 1, 2014 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police on general patrol came upon a vehicle that was running with the driver’s door open. Several people were observed standing around consuming alcoholic beverages. The female owner of the vehicle was asked for the vehicle registration and as she went to the vehicle she appeared to police to be unsteady on her feet, sat in the driver’s seat to locate the vehicle registration. Police arrested her and she complied with the breath demand that indeed revealed that she was over the legal limit for alcohol consumption. She was charged for Impaired Care and control of motor vehicle and Impaired Over 80 milligrams of alcohol in one hundred milligrams of blood. She was processed and released to appear in court at a later date.

On January 10, 2014 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Cadillac STS west bound on River Road in Tsi Snaihne. The driver accelerated in attempt to flee police, lost control and entered the ditch. Police arrived on scene and found the vehicle to be resting on the roof and emergency crews had to be called to extract the male driver from the vehicle. The driver was transported to Cornwall Community Hospital, checked out and released. The driver refused to cooperate with police upon demand to provide samples of blood or breath to determine the amount of alcohol concentration in the person’s blood and will be charged for refusal and summons to court at a later date.
