The Terrance Family & TWINLEAF Host a Christmas Party for the IRA Houses of Akwesasne and Fort Covington

Akwesasne, NY (December 19, 2013) The residents of the IRA Houses of Akwesasne and Fort Covington were given their very own Christmas Party, hosted by Mrs. Ashley Terrance, & husband Carey. The party was held at the Brass Horse Lounge on Thursday, December 19th, with a luncheon prepared by Brass Horse, candy buffet by the Chocolate Chicks, and DJ Services by Karonhiio Terrance. Mrs. Terrance was so happy to be able to do this for the residents again this Christmas season, as most of them are used to a very scheduled day to day life, this party was a wonderful holiday treat for them. According to Mrs. Terrance, "They each got a gift bag with a Twinleaf Gift Card, McDonald's Gift Card, Movie Passes, and a Gift Certificate for a haircut at Lauren Cree's Hair Creations. It's stuff they all like, and will use. They're often forgotten about because Christmas is all about kids usually, but they're so much easier to please than kids!" The IRA Residents really enjoyed the party, dancing, visiting, and even trying out some Karaoke. When Carey Terrance arrived, they all applauded and took turns shaking hands, wishing them all a Merry Christmas. Some residents were excited to enjoy a Christmas beer as well... (N/A Labatt's). One resident said, "It's not Christmas without a little holiday spirits!" A nice toast with the Terrances really made the IRA residents' faces light up.

This event was a great success for the IRA Residents, not one of them left without a smile on their face! Many thanks go out to Pam & Roy Tarbell, Dave Mainville, Brass Horse Lounge, TWINLEAF, Carey & Ashley Terrance, Karonhiio Terrance, Lauren Cree of Hair Creations, and the Chocolate Chicks for making this Christmas party truly something to remember. Nia:wenkowa & Happy Holidays!!
