Kanikonhr'i:io i:wa ne Ona':ke "Good Minds in the Canoe" and Kayak Club Logo Contest

A joint initiative led by the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and community-minded volunteers is establishing a “Kanikonhr’i:io i:wa ne Ona’:ke “Good Minds in the Canoe” and Kayak Club for families. Boating will begin in the spring of 2014.

The Club is holding a “logo design” contest. The contest is open to all ages. The logo must be culturally related to Akwesasne and the “Kanikonhr’i:io i:wa ne Ona’:ke “Good Minds in the Canoe” and Kayak Club theme.

Submissions will be judged by the Committee, which is mostly comprised of community members involved in the planning of this Club. If the logo is selected as the winner, it will be printed on promotional items and used in various activities.

There is a limit of 5 colours per artwork. The contest is now “open” and ends on November 29th, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. All entries are to be submitted to the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Station in Kanatakon.
