Description of Position: Under the general direction of the ECDP Education Supervisor, the Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing children with a safe, comfortable environment enriched with a variety of hands-on, age-appropriate activities that meet best practice standards and enhance each child’s level of development.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in early childhood education or bachelor’s degree or advanced degree plus course work equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with 3 years’ experience in teaching pre-school aged children. Candidate must successfully pass criminal background check, prior to beginning employment.
