Hunter Francis Gets Into PGA Golf Program

Congratulations to Hunter Francis who has been accepted into the PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University.

Hunter is a senior at Massena Central High School. His parents, Tim and Darlene Francis, got him into golf when he was young and he started playing competitively when he was 12 years old.

Hunter played golf for Salmon River in seventh and eighth grade and then transferred to Massena where he has played for their varsity golf team since his freshman year. Hunter has been captain for the past two years.

There are about 30 people accepted in to the Coastal Carolina PGA-PGM program, which is accredited by the PGA of America, each year. It is very competitive and there are only twenty schools in the country that offer this program!

Hunter is not positive on his career choice yet, but he plans on majoring in marketing.

There are many different possible careers available as a Certified PGA Professional, such as General Manager of a golf course operation, sales professional, or even a career in a major golf organization or company. Congratulations Hunter and good luck!
