'Every Day Counts' Poster Contest At Tsi Snaihne School

The contest asked students and parents/guardians to show the importance of daily attendance at school. There were 30 entries and each student who entered received a prize that was donated by Turtle Island Promotions and the Tsi Snaihne School Parent Committee.

The Tsi Snaihne School is pleased to announce the winners of the “Every Day Counts” contest. They are: Early Years – Brynlee Roundpoint, Easton Oakes-Sisto and Mylynn Laughing. The Grade 1 to 3 winners are: Chazz Jacobs, Tia Terrance and Portia Wheeler. The Grade 4 & 5 winners are: Toni Jackson-King, Aubre Mitchell-King and Tessa Lafrance. A Special Recognition goes to Ruby Davis for her framed poster.

Chazz Jacobs emphasized that “attitude is everything to get to school each day.” Toni Jackson-King said “being at school every day is important so you do not fall behind with your homework.” Most of the students put the reason that they come to school is to be successful at their jobs when they grow up and to see their friends.

The Tsi Snaihne School Attendance Committee and staff would like to thank all of the students and their families who participated in the “Every Day Counts” poster contest and to the families who do get their child/children to school every day and on time.
